April Ross

April Ross was one of the few female beach volleyball players who have won medals at multiple Olympics. Alix Klineman, competing for the first time in Tokyo's Olympics and will attempt to win her third gold medal. Ross hopes to win more than her first Olympic medal. With her age of 39, this may be her last chance to win an Olympic gold. Still confident, however. Ross told NBC Boston that if they perform at their very best, or play a great game her team can win a gold medal. Also, I am going be relying on a little bit of luck. Ross born in 1982, and grew up within Costa Mesa California with her siblings and parents, started playing sports at the Newport Harbor High School. While at Newport Harbor High School, she played in a variety of sports. Being a pre-athlete, she also played indoor volleyball and track. Although she was a pro when playing indoors but it was apparent that her performance was above normal. Through her high school years, she was a middle blocker outside setter and hitter at the tennis court as per her bio at the college. The results of her efforts were acknowledged by her being named 1999 Gatorade's Circle Of Champions National Player of the Year. The skills she showed in volleyball also earned her an Orange County Athlete of the Awards in the year 2000. Ross and Klineman are performing their roles since 2017. The reality is that Ross was a major player in the world of beach volleyball prior to the pair. In fact, she won multiple major tournaments in the past with two different partners. one of whom is a volleyball icon. The pair teamed along with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and also was Klineman's personal trainer. Kessy as well as Ross proved to be an impressive force on the international arena, taking home a 2009 world title with each other. They went into winning a silver in the 2012 Olympic Games at London. The Misty Maytreanor legendary team as well as Kerri Jennings won the gold. Ross Jennings was the replacement for May-Treanor as she announced her retirement. The pair won bronze in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross played for the Trojans of USC in her college years after she graduated high school. It was a successful run for Ross at the college level. When she was a freshman at the school in 2000 she earned Pac-10 as well as NCAA All-American Freshman of Year accolades. She also earned an All-American. Additionally, she assisted her Trojans to reach the Final Four. She endured a great personal loss during her sophomore year, yet was successful in achieving the All-American title. Over the course of her final two seasons she led the Trojans up to the summit and won consecutive national titles. As an individual Ross established her status as a legend when she won the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. The award is given to the best female college volleyball players in the United States. Ross majored in the field of international relations in USC. Margie Ross wasn't able to see her daughter's climb to beach volleyball fame. Ross lost her mother to breast cancer in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. However, she keeps her parents close to her his heart. Margie has been an inspiration throughout her life, as well as on the beaches.
