Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised alongside 12 other kids. Her vivid imagination allowed her to escape the pressures of daily life. Before she learned to read and write, Dolly Parton was creating her own songs. In 8 years, she was playing her first guitar. At age 11 she started singing on Knoxville Tenn's radio station. The following time, Gold Band Records was an independent label. Although she was studying, she already made a name of herself within the local arena. However, her goal was to to perform at a much greater size. When she graduated from high school in 1964 she moved straight to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first record to chart on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female singer to perform on his show syndicated by him at this point. Parton took the offer in 1967 and signed with RCA Records in 1968 and joined in the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. In 1974, she resigned from Wagoner's show due to the commercial success of her singles like Joshua Coats of Many Colors or Jolene was surpassing their joint albums. Parton wrote "I I Will Never Forget You" for Wagoner just after the pair split. The track hit the top spot at No. In 1974, Parton's song I Will Always Love You climbed to No.
